Okay, it is August and very hot here. I had a very good show at the Cheeseman Park here in Denver over the past weekend. While I did not know what to expect in terms of the type of the crowd for the show (I must admit that I had never even been to the Cheeseman art festival prior to this opportunity!) Just like the one last month I genuinely enjoyed meeting a variety of people at the show. I received many positive and heartwarming comments on my works and sold a good number of my works so thankfully. I believe this type of show, with a very mix crowd, is a true audience about the response to my work in a way, since their mind sets are so various. Some people reacted so directly and dramatically, like starting a word like simple "Wow!" (I wish I could videotape those reactions! They were GREAT!), and some others are lot more austere and careful. Regardless those who stepped into "my tent" were pulled by something about my work, hopefully all favorably, and the fun conversations began right away. I am so grateful for the opportunity and have found another good reason to go back to the studio on Monday again...Keep on printing.
Here is my first blog.
