I do not do Facebook, nor twitter, but have been posting my new prints and some related "arty" life on the Instagram. Those who are interested in peeking my site, the address is "mamiyamamotoifnke" as you see in this image. I started the site last year, as my niece in Japan kindly suggested to start as my printmaking marketing tool. I did not even know how Instagram worked back then but soon hooked on it and have been enjoying "meeting" a variety of people, both artistic and non artistic backgrounds. One distinguished thing I love about Instagram is that we do not have to be a "friend" like Facebook. Meeting begins solely seeing an image of whatever and whether you like or not the image/subject is the only the criteria you must have, no complications attached. Exchanging a few friendly and kind comments are always flattering and I genuinely appreciate getting "heart" responses from the all over the world. Anyway life is good and keep on printing!
Behind and behind! I am behind from many things! October is a transitional time of the year and my calendar has been filled with a various activities. Among some news, I have begun to print 17" x 17" plate size print. While I do not believe "the larger, the better" concept, enlarging the size of the print certainly and utterly positively challenges my creative thoughts and approaches and needless to say I am liking a lot! My colorful, bold, and dynamic sense of works are perfectly meeting with this paper size and this new chapter is almost like "moving into a larger apartment" like sensation, holding so many ideas in my brain about how to "furnish and decorate" the space. The Colorado weather forecast is predicting the first snow on Monday. I cleaned all the window screens this morning and are ready to put them away. I love autumn but it is a very short season in Colorado. I baked a large loaf of pumpkin bread a few days ago and it seems to be that we are having a perfect afternoon to have a cup of tea with it today. Happy October to everyone.
Here is my first blog.
