Hello Colorado! I am back. It was a long away from home but the visit in Japan was a full of memorable times as usual. As it is the last day of May (!), I am trying to make this blog at least on time. I will insert "an image" or (more) later on since they are not accessible with the computer I am writing at this moment. Every time I visit Japan (or I should say "I return to Japan") I feel so fascinated with a numerous aspects of Japanese sensitivities over preparations and presentations of food, unique coordination of clothing, use of textiles, utterly graphic packaging, humbly harmonized relationship to natures, and on and on. I grew up in the culture over 20 years yet as I have lived in the U.S. more years now my own sensitivity might have been even more keen to this now "foreign" environment. Since I am now engaging with printmaking, my enthusiasm to all these visually and emotionally balanced aesthetics may be even more demanding as ever. Everyday during the visit, I was trying to "scan" all the beautiful things to my heart, if not to my brain. Keep on printing! Hope you will be able to visit the big show on June 11th and 12th. Thank you so much for your genuine support.
Here is my first blog.
